Chemical safety assessment (CSA)

Based on the available or new newly generated data, the CSA will be performed under consideration of the following aspects:

  • Phys. chem. hazards:
e.g. flammability, self-ignition, oxidising properties, explosivity
  • Human health hazards:
    • acute toxicity, irritation/corrosion, sensitisation, genetic toxicity, repeated dose toxicity, reproductive and developmental toxicity, carcinogenicity, specific further endpoints if required
    • derivation of DNELs or DMELs
  • Environmental fate
    • degradation, accumulation, transport and distribution
  • Ecotoxicity
    • aquatic, sediment and terrestrial toxicity
    • derivation of PNECs
